PARTICIPATE IN
A TRANSFORMATIVE
EXPERIENCE

The work of the delegates culminates in resolutions created during an MMUN conference and is shared with UN Youth Envoy. Although every conference supports separate committees, topics and objectives, there is always a common goal: to inspire young people to recognize their own power to transform the world.

OUR COMMITTES

UN REGIONAL GROUPS

MMUN publishes a Matrix identifying countries all over the world
from all UN Regional Groups, to represent the participation
of countries sitting on the committees.

WorldWorld

INTERNATIONAL NEWS AGENCY

The MMUN Press Corps is an important component of simulating the work and accountability of the United Nations. As an intergovernmental organization, the UN serves as a platform for discussion between the nations of the world and their respective societies. As such, MMUN offers middle school students the opportunity to become reporters representing a news agency (in lieu of representing countries as delegates do). Reporters take on the unique task of summarizing and disseminating news of what is happening during a conference. Press Corps articles are posted by way of MMUN social media pages and on our website.

A program to inspire global citizens of all ages

Youth for a better world is committed to giving young people a voice and shaping opportunities for young people to realize their own power. We scaffold developmentally appropriate programs that create the global citizens the world needs now.

REAL CONNECTIONS TO THE UN

We help achieve the SDG goals through collaborative global partnerships with entities that share our vision for youths.

DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS, TEACHERS & FAMILIES

In order to take part in a conference event, the Coordinator will select one or more countries from a Matrix that shows the maximum number of students by country as well as the country’s respective committees. Two student delegates are assigned to each committee.

– Coordinators

MMUN Certified Teachers who coordinate the group’s registration, all pre-conference activities and preparation of delegates for committee session collaborate with experienced MMUN staff and meetup with other teachers to review content, ask for help and share experiences.

– Delegates

Student delegates who will debate and negotiate in final committee sessions participate in practice working sessions and social events throughout the year while they complete their preparation requirements and meet various submission deadlines.

These adults and students are responsible for the success of committee sessions by reviewing and giving feedback on position papers pre-conference, and then executing the committee sessions during the conference. They also help to manage the year-long working sessions and social meetups.

During the culminating conference event, adults or children registered for the program and accompanying a school or a student delegate are able to watch committee proceedings from an observer area on-site or on a streaming platform online.
