Online Adult MMUN Bureau Leadership Course

ONLINE COURSE
This course provides the opportunity for adults to learn how to take on the role of a Vice-Chair on the MMUN Bureau to support a conference that is truly anchored in Montessori practices and principles.

COURSE SCHEDULE
Day One – Leadership, Montessori & UN
Day Two – Position Paper Review & Drafting Resolutions
Day Three – Rules of Procedure, Flow of Debate
Day Four – Troubleshooting, Simulation, Role Playing
COMMITTEE FORMAL DRESS
Bureau Members dress professionally during the Bureau Course, committee sessions, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies to mimic the appearance and decorum of activities at the United Nations. A suit and tie, dresses of an appropriate length, otherwise a blouse, sweater, or button-down shirt with slacks or suit pants are acceptable. Clothing should be subtle in color and pattern. Hair should be clean and out of the face. Jeans, shorts, tennis shoes and hats are not permitted.
Planning for the next steps
Once you have completed the course, you may apply to participate as a Bureau Member during an upcoming committee session for a Working Session or Conference.
