MMUN Volunteer Program
MMUN is currently seeking volunteers to assist our Conference Services team at the MMUN Conferences. The Montessori Model UN Program is know for its unique global citizenship curriculum, but it is at the conference where Delegates take on the role of Ambassadors and embark on a path of leadership that will continue for the rest of their lives. MMUN is a one-of-a-kind event and you can help us improve upon its quality and make it even more successful in the years to come.
MMUN Volunteers have the opportunity to interact with participants from around the world and serve as role models for youth ages 9 through 16. Volunteers also help us make the MMUN experience welcoming, fun, and remarkable. A Volunteer’s time will have a significant impact on the success of the conference.
To be considered for a volunteer position, all interested volunteers must first apply for a position. Before registering, please identify a position you may qualify for.

All volunteer positions will require the assigned volunteer to participate in on-site training, which will take place at the event location 1 (one) or 2 (two) days prior to the event.
Commitment and Benefits
- Positions require a 8-hour daily commitment starting from date of on-site training until the last day of the event.
- Volunteers must commit to the same position for the entire conference.
- Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation. A daily food stipend of $65USD and hotel accommodation in a shared room with another same-gender volunteer for the duration of the event will be provided by MMUN.

On the first three days of the Conference, participants will gather in committee sessions at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, which is also the official hotel where Conference attendees will be lodged. TheNew York Marriott Marquis is located at 1535 Broadway, New York City, NY 10036.
For the Final Assembly and fourth day of the Conference, our location is the United Nations Headquarters at 47th street and 1st Avenue in New York City, NY.
- Rome, Italy
On the first three days of the Conference, participants will gather in committee sessions at the Rome Marriott Park Hotel, which is where participants will be lodged. The Rome Marriott Park Hotel is located at via Colonnello Tommaso Masala 54, Rome 00148, Italy.
For the Final Assembly and fourth day of the Conference, our location is the World Food Programme Headquarters at via Cesare Giulio Viola, 68, Roma, Italy.
- Fort Wayne, IN, USA
Our 3-day Midwest Conference will be held at the IPFW University in the Walb Union building. The IPFW University is located at 2101 E Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
Who should apply?
MMUN volunteer positions require training and Model UN experience.
If you are 18 years old or older and have attended a MMUN Conference and/or a Model UN Conference at least once as a delegate, chaperone or observer, you are eligible to apply for a volunteering position with MMUN.
Volunteers must commit to the same position for the entire conference.
