MMUN develops and administers certificate programs for those who wish to build on their skills relative to current best practices. Some courses are prequisites for accessing specific MMUN activities.
Coordinator Certification Courses
An online or on-site course for teachers and parents new to Montessori Model UN who would like to prepare students for participation in an MMUN Conference. This training certification process is required prior to registering students for an MMUN Conference.
For convenience, summer programs are offered to students, teachers and parents at a time of year when they might be more available to participate.
Delegate Prep Program
In an online webinar-style format, students are able to further their negotiation skills and practice rules of procedure while discussing and debating a variety of topics with other middle school student delegates from around the world.
MMUN Webinars are periodically offered for teachers, parents, and students to familiarize them with how to register, support aspects of delegate preparation, and review the committees & topics for the current program year.
Youth Impact! Forum Certification Courses
The YIF course prepares teachers to unleash the potential of their adolescent students by raising awareness about the impact of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and then providing project development activities. It is a first step for teachers and culminates with students presenting their projects during the YIF Showcase, an event where youths ages 15-18 present their projects for social and environmental change.
