ONLINE ADULT BUREAU LEADERSHIP COURSE

This course provides the opportunity for teachers who have experience preparing delegates for a conference to learn how to take on the role of an MMUN Bureau Member to support a conference that is truly anchored in Montessori practices and principles

Prerequisites

Participants must have previously attended an MMUN conference. (Note that volunteer opportunities are available for on-site conferences). They must also submit an application describing their motivation for taking the course.

COMMITTEE FORMAL DRESS

Bureau Members dress professionally during committee sessions and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies to mimic the appearance and decorum of activities at the United Nations. A suit and tie, dresses of an appropriate length, otherwise a blouse, sweater, or button-down shirt with slacks or suit pants are acceptable. Clothing should be subtle in color and pattern. Hair should be clean and out of the face. Jeans, shorts, tennis shoes and hats are not permitted.

SOCIAL EVENTS CASUAL DRESS

A casual dress code is permitted for all social events.

Planning for the next steps

Once you have completed the course, you may apply to participate as an adult Bureau Member during an upcoming committee session for a Working Session or Conference.
