Q: What is the MMUN Bureau Leadership Training? What is it for?
It is a two-day course designed for teachers and high school students who have attended at least one MMUN Conference. It enables them to become a bureau member, the organ in charge of leading the committee sessions. In fact, the Bureau represents one of the progression possibilities for students as they are ready to take on new roles of leadership. Bureau roles include Committee Chair, Vice Chair, Rapporteur, or MMUN Secretariat (depending upon the level of experience within Bureau roles).
Q: Is this training a one-time course?
Yes. Although you will be also participating in a selection process while you will be trained. The MMUN board will select the members and their position according to the participants’ performance during the training.
Q: I am new to MMUN, can I register to participate in the MMUN Leadership Training?
No, this training requires experience in MMUN Conferences. If you are new to the MMUN program you will need to go through learning by experiencing the preparation and measure procedures prior to and during the MMUN Conferences. You need to be a trained MMUN teacher, a high school student, or former middle school student with previous experience in MMUN Conferences to participate in the MMUN Leadership Training.
